I am in Singapore and due to time difference I missed joining first session live, but just finally watched it now! Yay! Thankful for the videos I can watch and especially to go back to redo the guided meditations. I struggled with the second portion of the soul fire guided meditation.
In the first part of the soul fire meditation I was able to see myself opening the door to the garden in my heart.. I walked to a tall strong tree where I felt and my soul fire was in the center of the trunk. I saw myself sitting on the ground looking up at my soul fire. When I asked where it sits within me, I felt it was in my mind; my third eye. When I asked what it wants to tell me? I saw a quick vision of a piece of paper with a word being typed or written on it but all I could see was the first two letter “re…” then i lost the vision.
Then when it was time to return to our soul fire in the second portion of the guided meditation, I was not able to see the tree or my soul fire. I felt like it was in a dark/gray place with a wall on one side of my left side…I knew my garden, could fire and tree were on the other side of the wall but I just couldn’t get to it. I kept asking it the questions you were prompting but i didn’t get anything from them.
I am bummed out, but also motivated now to continue sitting with my soul fire more often to be able to hear what it has to say to me and to strengthen my connection to it. There was a time I had a much stronger connection to my soul fire, but many years have passed where I have allowed day-to-day life to cloud and distance me from being my true self . I am crying as I write this because I want to find my way back home (to my soul) so bad. My intention is to regain inner peace, my connection to my true self and to the divine.
I am very happy and grateful for you and for this program. I look forward to this Sunday’s session as I will be able to connect live. Whooop!

Hi Yesenia:
Thank you for sharing this, I know it’s incredibly personal and honest. I wanted to respond about a few things and give you some encouragement. Some of the things you’ve shared here can help others as well.
Firstly, that you’ve seen the beginning of a word or phase (with the “re…”) is very important. And not uncommon. This is a way that divine forces communicate with us, almost like an unfolding of a message or note. Keep revisiting that piece with openness and curiosity. I know it’s hard to not feel intensely about wanting to know what this word or phrase is, but see if you can release the notion of finding the “answer” and instead stay open and curious about what message is being revealed to you during this time. I would suggest you also make this very real…perhaps create a note in your journal or write on your mirror in dry erase marker the “re…”. In this way you’re creating physical space in your waking life for this message. Be curious and warm and excited about it. Your guides might give you one letter at a time…sort of a cute, sacred scavenger hunt. Trust what comes to you.
The other key about our soul fires is that we can tend to them at any time. That’s what makes the visualization so powerful. You can daily – even multiple times a day – check in on your soul fire and ask it what it needs. Try to stay in curiosity (versus beating yourself up or blaming yourself) and simply respond to and tend to your soul fire. Sometimes, when we are wanting to return to our truth, it’s the steady, simple, frequent pauses that help us most.
As I’ve mentioned before in our sessions, it’s totally okay and normal to have experiences in meditations where you find something feels dark or gray or blank or “negative.” Just stay open to this and you can ask, at those times, “what am I meant to notice at this time?” You can ask the gray/dark/blankness/negativity, “Thank you for being here, I am open to what you’d like to tell me or show me.”
You’re off on the journey. Be kind to yourself. You’ve decided to change – that matters more than you know! This is about one right step at a time and healing and shifting those old wounded loops/self-talk that run through our heads along the way. You’re doing great!
